Become a Lyft driver: just like the specifics to become an Uber driver, the Lyft requirements are certain standards that have to be met in order to be able to drive for Lyft. Drivers have to be at least 21 years old and must have had a valid driver’s license for at least one year. Check out or list and guide for Lyft driver requirements and drive for Lyft!

Lyft driver requirements – Do you want to become a Lyft driver? Even if you already drive for Uber, why not give Lyft a try and put them both to the test? The Lyft driver requirements are fairly similar to the Uber requirements. The good news is that you can be signed-in to both the Uber and Lyft driver app at the same time which may increase the volume of rides you’ll get. Which of course means higher earnings.

Attention, if you become a Lyft driver: Lyft allows riders to tip directly on the app which can make a significant difference for a driver. So sign up for both and maximize your earnings.

How to Become a Lyft Driver

Becoming a Lyft driver is fairly easy. Just fill out a driver application, and, if you meet the Lyft driver requirements, you’ll take a Welcome Ride. During this ride, a Lyft mentor will inspect your car and give you a practice drive, just to make sure you are friendly and drive safely. The mentor you’ll meet during your test drive is a more experienced Lyft driver with a good rating. He/she will also take some pictures and show you how to use the Lyft driver app. Should you have any questions bout driving for Lyft, this is a really great opportunity to do so.

If you meet all of the Lyft driver requirements and pass the welcome ride, you’ll be able to start driving. Ready to drive with Lyft? Let’s go!

I have a “hit and run” December 2010. October 2010 was the date of the H&R and December 2010 was the conviction date. No tickets or violations since. I am insured with Farmers and they insure lyft and uber drivers. Can I qualify to drive for Lyft.

Is there a way that lyft can help a person obtain a car??? If the person does not have one at the moment.

Useless. Why u want to have a person do every single thing and then do the BG check is moronic.
I have been turned down boxof an arrest. An arrest that DID NOT LEAD TO A COMVICTION.
    And stil turned down.
Also u send me to download the driver app but when u get to the link there is only the rider app.
    USELESS!!!!!!!!

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quadcab 4 door truck in good condition, but it has a 6 speed manual transmission (which many passengers find fascinating since most people have never driven a manual transmission). Would the fact that it is a truck or, that it is a 6 speed manual transmission, disqualify the vehicle?
